Privacy Impact Assessment Register
The eSafety Privacy Impact Assessment Register records details of Privacy Impact Assessments conducted since 1 July 2018.
eSafety must maintain and publish the register to comply with the Privacy (Australian Government Agencies – Governance) APP Code 2017 (Cth).
We may classify a project as a high privacy risk if it involves any new or changed ways of handling personal information that are likely to impact the privacy of individuals.
The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner may also direct eSafety to conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment.

Safety by Design assessment tool
This project examined the privacy impact of eSafety’s Safety by Design self-assessment tool, which allows companies to assess their own online safety practices.
