This live Virtual Classroom webinar to help Year 3 and 4 students understand how to spot 'red flags' or warning signs when they are online is a repeat from Child Protection Week 2024.

  • recognise and understand what warning signs or ‘red flags’ look like online
  • identify safe and unsafe behaviours and the differences between secrets that are safe and unsafe to keep
  • use strategies to address harmful or dangerous situations online
  • identify the qualities of a safe adult and how to access support pathways. 

Using this resource

Students can participate by:

  • listening to the presenter
  • thinking about different concepts of online safety
  • recording answers to the questions on the worksheet (optional)
  • responding to teacher-facilitated discussions
  • taking the worksheet home and sharing their learning with parents or carers.
