Here's how to adjust your privacy settings in Snapchat.

To enable two-factor authentication, select the profile icon on the top left hand side of the screen.
Select the gear icon on the top right hand side of the screen to access settings. Select two-factor authentication and follow the prompts.
If you've turned on two-factor authentication and want to stop other devices using it to access your Snapchat account, return to the two-factor authentication settings.
Select Forget devices. Delete all devices that you want to lock out.

To make sure your location isn't shared in snap map, select the profile icon on the top left hand side of the screen.
Select the gear icon on the top right hand side of the screen to access settings.
Scroll down to privacy controls and select see my location. Enable ghost mode to hide your location from others.

To completely stop Snapchat from accessing your location open your devices settings.
The next steps may vary depending on your device,but generally you can select apps and then Snapchat, then app permissions and set location access to never or deny or choose a similar option.

To adjust other privacy settings on most devices,select the profile icon on the top left hand side of the screen.
Select the gear icon on the top right hand side of the screen to access settings.
Scroll down to permissions, which you can find under additional services, account actions or a similar option.
Ensure location is turned off.
Turn off contacts if you don't want Snapchat to access your devices contact list, disable other items if needed for safety and privacy.
On some versions of Snapchat, you might have to go into your devices settings to change permissions.

To limit who can contact you, select the profile icon in the top left hand side of the screen.
Select the gear icon on the top right hand side of the screen to access settings.
Scroll down until you reach privacy controls. Under this section, you'll find options like View My Story and Contact me.
Here, you can choose who can contact you and see your story.You may have different options to choose from, such as friends or friends and contacts.
You can also choose custom to block specific people from seeing your story.

Additionally, under the privacy controls section, you can select See Me in Find Friends, though the wording might be different on your device and then toggle off, Show me in Find Friends to prevent others from discovering your account through this feature.
You can also turn off activity indicator, which is under privacy controls, so others can't see when you were last active on Snapchat.
