Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women Grants Program
The Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women Grants Program is part of the Australian Government’s commitment to improving the safety of Australian women and their children through the prevention of technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
The program will be delivered over three rounds with a total of $10 million available.
The program forms part of the Government’s commitment to the aims and objectives of the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-32 (the National Plan). The National Plan highlights the need to understand and factor in the role of technology in addressing violence against women and their children.
Round 3 update
eSafety has awarded $3.5 million in new grants to 12 non-government organisations under Round 3 of the Preventing Tech-based Abuse of Women Grants Program.
The funded projects will support safer online experiences for women, children and communities by addressing emerging technology harms, promoting respectful digital behaviours, and building the evidence needed to inform future prevention efforts.
The selection process was overseen by a combination of internal and external assessors with subject matter expertise, independent of the eSafety Commissioner and the Minister for Communications.

Online Safety Grants Program
The Online Safety Grants Program formed part of the Australian Government’s commitment to keeping children and young people safe online.
The program supported the delivery of online safety education to children, young people and their communities, and training to those who work with them.
A total of $9 million was made available over the life of the program, allocated over three rounds in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Dedicated Project Officer Grants Program
The Dedicated Project Officer Grants Program was established for Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations. This program allowed organisations to engage a dedicated project officer to develop resources and training for frontline workers who support women experiencing technology-facilitated abuse, as an extension of domestic and family violence.
A total of $368,550 was made available over the life of the program, allocated over two rounds in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.
