Your Online Journey
Want to know how to get on the internet and stay safe online?
Want to help others get online? Check out Your Online Journey.
Your Online Journey is a free easy-to-use app with step-by-step instructions and videos to help your mob get online and stay safe.
It will work on any smartphone or tablet, including iPhones and iPads, and once you’ve downloaded it, you can view it without using the internet.
How does it work?
When you open the app, you’ll see that Your Online Journey has three meeting places. You can start the journey at the first meeting place or pick it up along the way — depending on what you already know and want to know more about.
The first meeting place is ‘starting out’, where you’ll learn the basics to get going online.
The next meeting place is ‘along the journey’, where you can gather skills to stay safe online.
The final meeting place — meeting the world — is more like a starting point for a new journey. It’s here that you’ll learn to use the internet to open up your communications in the world, including having a yarn with friends, banking and shopping online and even looking for training and jobs.
It’s about your journey, your choice.
How do I get the app?
You’ll need to be connected to the internet to download the app. As it is close to 500mb in size, it may take some time to download. Using public or free wi-fi will help you save data. Once fully downloaded the app can be opened without using any more data.

Using the app to help someone else
