Online safety is a shared global responsibility. As countries introduce new social media restrictions, and AI rapidly reshapes how we live, learn and connect, we are at a critical juncture.
At Safer Online Futures you will hear from internationally recognised experts and senior leaders discussing some of the most pressing issues facing the online safety ecosystem, including:
- global trends in children’s online safety
- the impact of Australia’s world-leading social media age restrictions
- online safety education, prevention and community engagement
- regulatory responses and enforcement to address online harms, including deepfakes, emerging technologies and AI-enabled harms
- technology, innovation and trust and safety.
Attendees will leave with fresh insights, global perspectives, and a clearer view of what’s next for online safety.

How can I pay for a Symposium ticket?
Payments can be made by credit card only.
Can I buy more than one ticket at a time?
No. Only one ticket can be purchased per transaction. To buy multiple tickets, please complete a separate transaction for each ticket.
When will the full program be available?
We're currently developing the program and carefully considering a range of topics, perspectives, and contributors. We hope to share details on speakers and sessions topics in the coming weeks.
Do you have a hotel discount for attendees?
Delegates can access a discounted rate for accommodation at The Fullerton Hotel. Details will be provided following registration.
Are there any sponsorships or grants to attend?
There are no sponsorships or grants to attend the Symposium.
Will the sessions be recorded?
This is an in-person event and will not be recorded or live streamed. To support open and candid discussion, attendees must not make audio or video recordings, or live stream any part of the event.
Photography is permitted with the consent of those being photographed, and a professional photographer will be present.
Sharing photos and general event reflections on social media is welcome, provided consent has been obtained and no speaker or session has requested otherwise. Please be respectful and mindful of context when posting.
What accessibility accommodations will be at the conference?
Accessibility accommodations include:
- event accessibility on one floor, with no steps and lift access to the level
- specific dietary requirements will be catered for (on request)
- accessible toilet facilities
- evenly distributed PA system, with integrated audio across every event and pre-function space
- large LCD screen display used in each event room
- valet parking
- accessible accommodation hotel rooms.

Are you accepting speaker proposals?
We're currently developing the program and carefully considering a range of topics, perspectives, and contributors.
As the Symposium is a one-day event with a limited program, we're unable to accommodate speaker requests. However, if you have suggestions for the program please email us at eSafetyconference@esafety.gov.au.

- We are collecting your personal information for the purpose of registering you for the Symposium, processing payment, and meeting your dietary and accessibility requirements.
- By registering for the Symposium, you consent to eSafety sharing your details with our event registration and management providers for the Symposium, Sprintr, Entegy and Conlog, to assist us in relation to the purposes above. Notice of filming and photography
- By registering for the Symposium, you acknowledge and agree that film, digital photographs, and/or audio recordings (collectively 'recordings') may be captured of you during your attendance for marketing and promotional use by eSafety.
- Attendance at the Symposium constitutes your consent to being filmed and/or photographed during your attendance, and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance for marketing and promotional purposes by eSafety, including but not limited to use on websites and social media, and any other form of promotion.
- By registering for and attending the Symposium, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the Symposium, including but not limited to any right to inspect or approve recordings or any claims for copyright infringement or for any fees (including payments or royalties) associated with the use of such recorded media.
